Stupid Cupid, you're a real mean guy.
I oughta clip your wings so you can't fly.
I'm in love, and it's a cryin' shame.
And I know that you're the one to blame.

Hey hey, set me free--stupid Cupid, stop pickin' on me!

I can't do my homework, and I can't think straight.
I meet him every morning 'bout a half past eight.
I'm acting like a love-sick fool--
You've even got me carryin' his books to school.

Hey hey, set me free--stupid Cupid, stop pickin' on me!

You mixed me up for good right from the very start.
Hey, go play Robin Hood with somebody else's heart!

You got me jumpin' like a crazy clown.
And I don't feature what you're puttin' down.
Since I kissed his loving lips of wine,
(The thing that bothers me is that I liked it fine!)

Hey hey, set me free--stupid Cupid, stop pickin' on me!

Life is so weird sometimes.

For example, I just started reading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil yesterday.  For those of you who don't know, it is about Savannah, GA.  Well, I have no real connection to Savannah; I have never visited, unless you count flying in and out of their airport (which is quite nice, although small).  Anyway, at the beginning of the book, the author mentions little things about Savannah, one of them being a song called "Hard-hearted Hannah, the Vamp of Savannah," which, I have never heard or even heard of.  What's strange is the coincidences that have appeared over the last two days concerning Savannah, GA, and this book.  First of all, I was talking to my friend Jacob on the phone last night, just catching up on things, and he randomly mentions that he and his dad are making a trip to Savannah of all places the next day for a quick vacation.  Well how about that.  Looking at my buddy list later that night, reading peoples' away messages, as I often do, I clicked on my friend Matt to see what his said.  It was the lyrics to--what song?--"Hard-hearted Hannah, the Vamp of Savannah!"  Then, this morning while getting ready for class, I had "Golden Girls" on in the background as usual, and it was an episode where Dorothy started singing in this bar.  What song did she choose to sing?  That's right, "Hard-hearted Hannah."  I couldn't believe it!  Spooky.

But tonight finds me thinking about the strange coincidences life gives us that are a little less light-hearted, so to speak.  Those things that are funny, but not funny "haha."  I tell you what, I don't think I will ever cease to be surprised by relationships.

I can't believe I'm getting sick again.  I can't believe it.  I better not be sick the rest of this week, because I have SO much to do before spring break.  Heck, I won't actually get to relax until halfway through spring break, when I get home from Vermont.  Major things this week:  plant design project due Thursday and second inorganic test Thursday (VERY important that I do well).  Nice how they're both on Thursday, huh?

I was supposed to go work at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) again this Tuesday, but I think I should stay home.  I don't want to get the kids sick, and I don't want to put myself at risk for getting worse (you know how many germs kids carry around with them). *sigh*

We watched the second (or third--how should I know?) Harry Potter movie last night.  Probably the slowest movie ever.  Man, was it boring.

Love is confusing.  It really, really is.  That's about all I can say on that.

I held your hand and told you that I loved you.
You turned around and walked right out the door.
Seems like holding your hand was not enough, so I want to do something more. . . .

Oh I want to hold you ear, baby,
Want to hold it near, baby,
Wanna hold your ear until you hear that I love you!

Oh I want to hold your eyes, baby,
Lovely shape and size, baby,
Wanna hold your eyes so you'll see and realize that I love you!

I wanna hold your nose!
I wanna hold your tooth!
I won't let you breathe or eat
Until you know the truth--I love you!

I want to hold you hair, baby,
Show you that I care, baby,
And it's only fair to tell you what I intend to do.

I'm going to keep what I hold dear--
Your nose, your eyes,
Your tooth, your ear--
And I'm gonna hold them 'til you say you love me, too!

I love dancing.  I think I would marry it if I could.
